As I sit here this morning drinking my spark and reading....it was put on my heart to do a post about salvation. About two weeks ago my oldest daughter Maddy and I went to watch an evangelistic play on Heaven and Hell- it was phenomenal! It was so simple yet so powerful ( just like the gospel)! It acted out the TRUTH of Gods word about choosing Heaven or Hell.

I think the powerful word here is CHOICE.

Romans 10:8-9 English Standard Version (ESV)

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

The TRUTH is: we do have free will. We are either choosing to walk with God or walk with the Enemy. Gods word is so clear on how to get to heaven and have eternal life.....but it's up to us to allow Jesus in our heart and have a relationship with him.

Just giving some background on me and my journey. I walked in the world for 33 years with NO relationship with Jesus, NO understanding of God, besides what I had heard from others growing up. The day I decided to turn in my "control card" and let the Lord direct my steps and come into my heart and guide me in my life - is the day I found my internal peace. NOW - that doesn't mean life was all cupcakes and rainbows, because it wasn't.

But there is NO denying the peace of God when it comes upon you. From that point forward my life has radically been changed by the love, mercy, grace, and power that only comes from JESUS.

When you receive His faith in your heart you will also receive His peace in your heart. Peace is the inward indicator that He is fully involved on your behalf. Peace is the emotion of faith.

I share this post with my heart BURSTING with expectation that YOU will choose to have a relationship with Jesus. Your salvation is dependent on receiving him into your heart, He desires to be in relationship with you, and has SO much more for you then you can imagine.

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

If you feel a knock or nudge at your heart- LISTEN to it. He will knock our whole life......the question is will you let him in.......are you OPEN to receiving all that God has for you?

Today I encourage us all to take a quiet minute and ask ourselves.....do I know JESUS?

We are not promised tomorrow, or the next 10 minutes.

Our salvation is THE most important decision at this time!
